Eclectic Central Austin is located just north of the University and includes West Campus. It’s home to everything from country bars and record shops to student housing and cutting-edge restaurants and lounges. Anderson Lane and Burnet Rd are both fun areas for laid-back nightlife and vintage shopping. The Drag (Guadaloupe St.) is also located here and you’ll find several of the old dive bars in this area as well as the University Book stores and several casual eateries.
